David Ritson
General Manager
David has been part of The Old Swan Hotel for 18 years and is proud to have watched the business and team grow and develop over the years. He began his career as a General Assistant at a large hotel in York in 1989 and became a General Manager in 2006. Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his three sons, his partner and his best friend Rosie, his Springer Spaniel.

Rachel Worth
Operations Manager
Rachel has been part of The Old Swan Hotel for over four years and has always worked in hospitality. She loves the variety of her role and is passionate about being there for her team. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys bounce classes at the gym and getting out on adventures.
Something you might not know: Rachel is also an award-winning farmer, having won the Knutsford Ladies Ploughing Competition in 2024!
Biggest guilty pleasure: Chocolate

Ben Watson
Revenue & Sales Manager
With 12 years of experience in hospitality, Ben combines a passion for the industry with a love of numbers. A self-confessed maths whizz, he enjoys using his analytical side to drive sales, maximise revenue and find new opportunities for The Old Swan Hotel.
When he’s not at work, Ben is usually planning his next adventure. His favourite way to spend a weekend is heading off to a foreign country with the cheapest flight he can find on Skyscanner – because the destination is always more exciting when it’s a surprise!
Something you might not know: In his spare time, Ben accumulates hours on his Flight Simulator and could confidently land a passenger jet in the event of an emergency. So, if your holiday flight ever gets into trouble, just look for Ben (although we make no promises about the landing!).

Danielle Lovatt
Senior Conference & Events Coordinator
Danielle has worked in hospitality for 11 years, including 10 years with Classic Lodges. She started her career with the company’s Central Reservations Team before joining the Events Team at The Old Swan Hotel in 2019. Danielle is passionate about creating the best possible experience for guests and bringing their ideas and visions to life.
Outside of work, she loves travelling, discovering new countries and enjoying great food. She is also a big foodie with a gluten-free diet.
If you weren’t doing this: Possibly a travel agent or cabin crew!

Tanya Thackwray
Sales & Events Coordinator
Tanya is part of the Sales Team at The Old Swan Hotel, helping guests plan their perfect event and managing group bookings from the initial enquiry through to the big day. With 15 years of experience in hospitality, Tanya has seen it all and is always happy to help with any questions or queries.
If you weren’t doing this: Tanya would have her own animal sanctuary, filled with everything from horses to bearded dragons!

Elisha Jennings
Weddings & Events Coordinator
With nearly a decade of experience in weddings and events, Elisha specialises in bringing couples’ wedding dreams to life. She takes a warm, personal and detail-focused approach to planning, ensuring every celebration is beautifully executed while keeping the planning journey relaxed and enjoyable.
Outside of work, Elisha enjoys family time, travelling, paddleboarding, camping and enjoying good food and drinks with family and friends.
Something you might not know: Elisha wears many hats – from nurse, chef and chauffeur to photographer, cake decorator, wedding planner and cheerleader!
