Once upon a time.. in a land not so far away.. the preparations for the Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate’s spectacular festive celebrations begin. The Old Swan Elves are working tiressly decking the halls, preparing the banquets, the New Year’s Eve confetti cannons, and polishing their comfy shoes, ready for the busy festive season ahead.
December arrives, the drinks begin to flow, the halls are fully decked and the Christmas anthems are blasting. With Festive Fever party nights, Day Discos and themed parties, the celebrations are well underway, there is something for everyone at the Old Swan Hotel this Christmas!

Arrive from 15:00 and settle into your room, then enjoy afternoon tea which will be serving in our lounges when it suits you. We will officially welcome you at an evening drink reception followed by an informal carol service, performed by the Christ Church Choir. You will then enjoy a three-course meal at a time to suit you in our Wedgwood restaurant.
25th December 2026
Open your door to find out if Santa’s been! Join your fellow guests for Christmas Day breakfast, served with a glass of Bucks Fizz, then there’s time to open your presents or take a morning stroll to work up an appetite before devouring our famous Swan Christmas Day Lunch.
Christmas Day afternoon is for relaxing, and we’ll be showing the King’s Speech and serving Coffee and Christmas Cake in our lounges.
Christmas Day evening is an informal affair with a light buffet supper to be taken at your leisure with a fun and entertainment in the style of a BIG CHRISTMAS QUIZ!
26th December 2026
Boxing Day brunch will be served during the morning for those that want to sleep in, followed by the opportunity to explore the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. You can enjoy the pantomime at Harrogate Theatre (included in Myrrh Package) or head off and explore the Yorkshire countryside that surrounds Harrogate.
In the evening, you will enjoy a three-course meal alongside a thrilling Christmas themed Murder Mystery Evening. Uncover clues, solve the murder mystery and immerse yourself in a night of festive intrigue and fun.
27th December
Breakfast will be served in our Wedgewood Restaurant after which we will say Au Revoir. For those of you that would like to make the most of Harrogate and spend the day exploring the town, we will happily take care of your luggage until you are ready to set off home.

New Year’s Eve Swan Spectacular
Join us for our New Year’s Eve Swan spectacular, a perfect way to celebrate seeing in the new year! You will enjoy a Glass of champagne on arrival, a selection of canapes, 4 course meal, our live band and resident DJ.
Tickets are £80.00 per person / £165.00 per person with tickets and accommodation (based on a classic bedroom) Stay extra nights either the 30th December or 1st January for just £50.00 per night, bed and breakfast!
